聊斋赛博 / Song 011

Wildflower

The eleventh song from Liaozhai Cyber — and the first one Laoda ever wrote for the series, held as a draft for about six months before being regenerated with a new generation of sound and video. 婴宁 is the fox spirit who recurs through Pu Songling's tales, defined by a laughter so infectious it works as a foil to the rigid, artificial texture of dynastic China. Where the original draft was a character study of a spirit surviving rehabilitation, this version turns a young woman's road to recovery into a sci-fi epic about rebellion.
